Thunder Over Michigan, Willow Run, Ypsilanti, MI, July 24, 2011
We made it to our first airshow in Michigan, and it was impressive. We grew up going to airshows, but the biggest shows we went to were a fraction of Thunder Over Michigan.
This was my first event outing with the Nikon D700. One of the lessons learned was that black lenses can get Hot. Really hot. Like you can’t touch it with your hands hot. I ended up carrying my camera under my shirt, and resolved to check into light colored lenses.
